This year’s Summer Science Exhibition features a more diverse programme than ever, with 13 flagship exhibits and a packed line up of line-up of talks, hands-on activities and film screenings.

Talks, panel discussions and conversations throughout the week will explore subjects as varied as the origins of the universe to the science of the perfect cup of coffee and the future of nuclear energy to the representation of science in movies. The week features several strands of talks, including a series exploring materials science with Professor Mark Miodownik, and the Trivedi Royal Society Science Book Prize talks featuring talks by authors of the some of the best contemporary science books. Attenborough at 100: a weekend of wildlife celebrates a century of Britain’s best-loved naturalist with a line-up of wildlife, conservation and biodiversity-related talks, and screenings of some of his iconic documentaries.

From Wednesday 1 to Friday 3 July be sure to visit the Young Researcher Zone and over the weekend drop in to enjoy interactive activities with some of the Royal Society’s funded researchers and Places of Science partner museums. We’ll also have two late openings this year, with a Lates event on Tuesday 30 June and our Taking Pride in Science evening on Friday 3 July, celebrating exciting advancements in science and research through an LGBTQ+ lens.
