Performance: A queer tour of the Summer Science Exhibition

03 July 2026 18:30 - 19:45 91TV Free

This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2026.

Our fabulous line-up of drag performers take you on a whirl-wind tour of selected Summer Science flagship exhibits. Get struck by Thunderbolts and lightning, shrink down with Microbe zoo, explore the dark universe and more with acts reinterpreting cutting-edge research through performance.

Performers include:

  • – Award-winning drag artist who has delivered performances ranging from a specially curated silent tour for the Wellcome Collection’s Milk Exhibition to the Soho Stage for London Pride
  • – Plant geneticist, queer ecologist, and, as of tonight, a drag performer. A researcher before a performer, Em brings the same rigour to the stage as to the lab: curious, thorough, and absolutely committed to the bit
  • – Theatremaker and drag artist who works across the creative, community and academic sectors. She’s the creator of two science-based theatre shows, Drag 'n' Drop! (quantum physics & gender) and Call Me, Mother Nature (climate change), touring from this summer
  • – Performer, writer, multidisciplinary artist and producer of peculiar events. Their work is characterised by wit, whimsy, horror and a sort of angry joy
  • – An internationally acclaimed drag king who serves high-camp glamour and comedy excellence. He brings over 10 years of stage experience across stand-up, hosting, and more to stages including The Barbican and Shakespeare's Globe
