In conversation: Anatomy - old science meets new tech
This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2026.
Anatomy is a long-studied science that concerns the structure of organisms but in the 21st century, modern technologies have caused a revolution. From 3D imaging to artificial intelligence, hear from the scientists revealing new insights into ancient and modern species and how this research is being made accessible to a wider audience.

- – Senior lecturer and Royal Society University Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, studying mammal skeletons and the evolution of movement using comparative anatomy, morphometrics, biomechanics, and evolutionary modelling
- – Science communicator and illustrator with a background in zoology. She’s been fascinated with the animal world for as long as she can remember and is often found discussing and drawing the weird and wonderful creatures we share the planet with
