Activity: Data takes flight
This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2025.
British birds have been in decline since the 1970s - but what happened before then? That’s when national records began, and museum collections are an invaluable resource for uncovering before this time.
Meet the team from Yorkshire’s own , funded by the Places of Science grant scheme. Drop in to help them chart data from their collections dating back to the 1890s and build a picture of changing bird populations. Discover what this can reveal about climate change, habitat loss, and the positive impact we can make by restoring landscapes.
